    7. [S35] Bucks Herald, Died Four Months After Fall.
At an inquest at Stoke Mandeville last week, the Coroner for Mid Bucks, Mr. S. E. Wilkins, recorded a verdict of "Accidental Death" on Miss Mary Ann Weston, of 3, Providence Cottages, Little Kimble, stated to be a life-long resident of the village. Miss Weston, who was 88, died at the Ministry of Pensions Hospital, Stoke Mandeville, on January 2nd.
Dr. Archibald Arthur McKirdy, a medical officer at the hospital, gave the cause of death as hypostatic pneumonia following a fracture of the left thigh, and prolonged immobilisation. He thought that had Miss Weston not had a fall in September of last year she might still have been alive.
Miss Weston's neighbours, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Rickson, of 4, Providence Cottages, gave evidence of finding Miss Weston lying on her bedroom floor at the top of the stairs one morning last September. She was taken to hospital soon afterwards.
