      The funeral took place at Great Kimble Parish Church on Wednesday of Mr. Frederick Spittles, of Marsh-road, Kimble, who died in Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford, on Friday, following an accident at work. He was 48.
      Mr. Spittles received head injuries on Monday last week when he fell from a loading bay on to a concrete floor at the factory of Risborough Furniture Ltd., where he was employed. A cabinet maker and a carpenter, he was working on the body of a lorry at the time of the accident.
      Mr. Spittles was a well-known sportsman in the Risborough district and had played cricket for Monks Risborough for many years.
      A native of Shropshire, Mr. Spittles had lived in Kimble for 28 years. He was married at Ellesborough Parish Church.
      During the last war he was a member of the Fleet Air Arm.
