The funeral of another resident of Icknield Cottages, in the person of Mr. William John Plater, whose death occurred on Monday last week, took place at All Saints' Church, Little Kimble, on Friday. Mr. Plater, who was 67 years of age, was a native of Bishopstone, although he had lived in Kimble ever since his marriage some 40 years ago. He and his wife (who was Miss Jane Baddams, of Kimble) first made their home in Bridge-street, Great Kimble, but on the completion of the Icknield Cottages they removed to one of these, and have lived there ever since.
