An old and respected inhabitant of Aylesbury passed away on Wednesday week in the person of Mrs. Sarah Woodward, wife of Mr. George Woodward, of 71, Buckingham Road. She had attained the advanced age of 87 years, and had borne a long illness with exemplary patience. The rare distinction of being able to celebrate their diamond wedding has been achieved by Mr. and Mrs. George Woodward, of 71, Buckingham-road, Aylesbury. The 60th anniversary of their wedding day was on Friday ... There have been five sons and three daughters of the marriage, all of whom are living. There are 17 grand-children, many of whom came with their parents to wish their grand-parents a very happy diamond wedding.
