For over 40 years Mrs. Cecilia Benyon was well known in both Ellesborough and Little Kimble. On Monday - on the eve of her 87th birthday - she died at the High Wycombe home of her daughter.
Mrs. Benyon went to live with her daughter at "Claudette", Hazlemere, High Wycombe, following the death of her husband 20 years ago. Prior to this she had lived at Ellesborough Mill, when she and her husband had been in business as millers and farmers.
The funeral took place at Hazlemere on Wednesday, after which Mrs. Benyon was buried in the same grave as her husband at Little Kimble Parish Churchyard.
