      Kimble Parish Council's longest serving member, Mr. Richard Tilbury, died at his home, "The Stores", Bridge-street, Great Kimble, on Saturday. He was 52. Mr. Tilbury had lived in Kimble all his life.
      Mr. Tilbury had served on the council for many years and was at one time Chairman. He was also Vice-President of Kimble Cricket Club.
      His main interest was gardening, and he was Vice-President of Kimble Horticultural Society. He had won many prizes in exhibitions, especially in dahlia classes.
      Mr. Tilbury ran a grocery shop in Bridge-street, Kimble. He had been a Special police constable since 1938.
      He leaves a wife, daughter and a son.
      The funeral took place at Kimble Baptist Chapel, where Mr. Tilbury was a regular worshipper, on Wednesday. Interment followed at Princes Risborough Baptist Churchyard.
