Mr. James Henry Haynes, who had been living with his brother at Little Kimble Post Office for the past few years, died on Friday at Tindal General Hospital, Aylesbury. He was unmarried and 70 years of age and had been ill only a few weeks. A native of Kimble, Mr. Haynes left the village in his early teens and became a railway guard. He retired at the age of 65 and had spent most of his time at Acton. Soon after his retirement he returned to Kimble.
