The Church of St. Nicholas, Great Kimble, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Thursday afternoon, when the nuptials of Miss Mary Valery, ward of Miss Daniell, of Hartwell, and the Rev. Wm. Keatinge Clay, curate of Hartlebury, Worcester, only son of the late Rev. E. K. Clay, vicar of Great Kimble, and Mrs. Clay, of Askett Lodge, Monks Risborough, were solemnised ... It is interesting to note that it was the express wish of the bridegroom that the wedding should take place at Great Kimble Church, inasmuch as he was christened there, whilst after the ceremony a reception was held at Ladymede, which had been placed at the disposal of the party by Mr. James Daniell.
